New this February '26 “Mat & Props” Classes

Mat Pilates has been misunderstood for far too long. It’s not gentle stretches in a dusty hall — and at Firefly Pilates in Potters Bar, it’s definitely not that.
The new Premium Mat & Props Classes are intentionally small (maximum 3 clients), highly personalised, and rooted in the traditional Mat Method created by Joseph Pilates. Every exercise can be tailored for flexibility, strength, injuries, or beginner confidence — because real bodies don’t thrive on one-size-fits-all routines.
You’ll receive expert cueing, hands-on corrections when appropriate, and thoughtful progression over time — not random “fitness on a mat” combinations. That’s not Pilates. This is true Pilates, taught well.
Each class is supported with high-quality equipment: thick Pilates mats, Magic Circles, Fletcher® braided towels, light weights, rollers, and soft props designed for comfort, alignment, and results.
The studio is calm, clean, and beautifully considered, with a welcoming community that naturally develops in small groups. Here, you’re known by name — not as a number — and classes often become the highlight of the week.
This is Mat Pilates the way it should be: intentional, empowering, and deeply effective.
